 Q: What are shadebands made of?

A: Each shadeband is made from a high-quality PC, scratch-resistant, TAC polarized, and broad-spectrum and UV-resistant plastic. Each and every silicone banded-grip frame has a rubberized coating to ensure an indefinite hold.

 

Q: Are shadebands polarized?

A: Shadebands are 100% polarized, however we also offer the choice of purchase of a non-polarized lens. This can be for parties and certain professions like aviation where polarized lenses are prohibited.

 

Q: Are shadebands UV-resistant?

A: Shadebands are broad-spectrum UV400 resistant. To break that down, nearly 100% of all harmful rays emitting from the sun's UVA and UVB radioactive wavelengths are blocked from reaching your eyes for up to 400 nanometers (industry standard). Think about it like SPF 50+ but for your eyes!

 

Q: Are their color differences?

A: Color differences are caused by varying computer and phone screen settings can be unavoidable at times. However, we try to keep that difference as minimal as possible through professional photography and a rigorous quality control process, ensuring that what you see on our website and what you get in the mail is the exact same thing.

Q: What are the sizes of shadebands?

A: Shadebands sunglasses are a one-size-fits-all pair of specs and can fit any face! People from all walks of life can wear shadebands without sacrificing any comfort or style. Dimensionally, Shadebands’ frames are 146mm wide, with the bridge being 16mm wide, and each lens being 48 mm high and 50mm wide. The banded-grip temples are 135mm long.
